A hike through the extensive Barmer Anlagen park in Wuppertal's Barmen district is a highlight in itself. Forest and park merge picturesquely in this vast area. The icing on the cake, however, is the Toelleturm, which has sat here at a height of 330 metres for over 100 years. This makes the feat of climbing the 26.5 metres to the top of the tower and enjoying the breathtaking view all the more worthwhile.
