No utopia: Free bike hire in Wuppertal

Don’t have your own bike with you? Not a problem! The Utopiastadt team at Mirke station will be happy to help. Donated bikes are repaired here, made roadworthy and safe and then made available free of charge. So, if the weather is nice and you fancy a bike ride on the Nordbahntrasse, you can take advantage of this opportunity. Simply provide your personal details, leave a EUR 20 deposit and off you go (at your own risk of course).

This initiative is run by volunteers and at the moment bikes can only be hired in the afternoons if the weather is fine. However, there may be occasions when it is closed. Just pop in! The season starts in the spring. Bikes can be rented then. Donations or volunteers are always welcome.
