Münster is not called the "cycling capital" for nothing. Locals and guests alike enthusiastically conquer the city, which is well worth seeing, by bike. The Westphalian Horse Museum in Münster can be reached via the cycle route network. With the adjacent Aasee lake and the various leisure facilities nearby, the Horse Museum is perfect for a stopover or as a destination on a cycling tour through Münsterland.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special content of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. A themed cycle route also runs close to the Horse Museum.
Historic town centres
The entrance to the Münsterland cycle path network, which is around 4,500 kilometres long, is behind the Allwetterzoo at the Aasee lake and offers numerous opportunities for great cycle tours in the region. Everyone will find a suitable cycle route here.
Info: There are covered parking spaces for bikes in front of the zoo entrance. Free e-bike charging stations are available for e-bikes. Perfect for a break!

Travelling by car:
Via the A1 and A43 motorways or federal roads B51, B54 and B219.
From the Münster city limits, signs point the way to the Allwetterzoo.
Travelling by bus and train:
Münster main railway station
City bus line 14 to Allwetterzoo
Line 14 runs every 20 minutes. It is also possible to get on at Prinzipalmarkt or Domplatz.
Parking
There are around 3,000 paid parking spaces at the Allwetterzoo and the Horse Museum. The cost is 4 euros per day.
