Information for cyclists
The Pröbstingsee is located directly on the 4,500 km long Münsterland cycle path network. From here, there are wonderful tours along the Bocholter Aa to Rhede and Bocholt. Junctions 59 and 60 are located directly at the lake.
It is only a few minutes to the centre of Borken. Cyclists follow the signs to junction 75.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through the Münsterland region. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special features of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. Haus Pröbsting is also connected to various themed cycle routes.

Everyone can find a suitable cycle route on the Münsterland cycle route network. Haus Pröbsting and the nearby Pröbstingsee recreation area are ideal places to start a cycling tour.

Arrival by car:
Haus Pröbsting is located in the west of the city of Borken.
Arrival is via the A31 (Oberhausen-Emden). Exit at Borken, then take the B67 (journey time approx. 20 minutes).
Arrival also possible via the A3 (Cologne-Arnheim). Exit Hamminkeln (journey time approx. 25 minutes).
Arrival by bus/train:
The town of Borken is the terminus of the RE14 railway line (Essen-Bottrop-Dorsten-Borken).
Borken railway station is approx. 6km from the Hoxfeld district.
Take bus line R51. Get off at the "Haus Pröbsting" stop in Borken-Hoxfeld. From here it is a 6-minute walk.

There is a large free car park near Haus Pröbsting.
