The Haus Heerfeld manor is a historic manor dating back to 1194 with a beautiful, well-kept park. The restored estate belongs to the municipality of Wadersloh and is located in the south-eastern Münsterland near the town of Lippstadt.

Haus Heerfeld is in a quiet location near the river Lippe and the Lippeaue nature reserve. This makes the former manor house an ideal stopover on a cycling tour through southern Münsterland.

History information

The Haus Heerfeld manor in Wadersloh is a true medieval gem: a knight's seat classified as a first-class land and cultural monument. Idyllically and wonderfully quietly situated on the edge of the Lippeaue nature reserve, its long history spanning centuries has made it a jewel of the southern Münsterland region.

First documented in 1194, the manor was in the hands of the brothers Albertus and Arnoldus de Hervelde and was a free noble manor in changing ownership until the 18th century. From 1728, however, it was no longer inhabited by the nobles, but leased to tenant families who worked there. It was not until 1997 that the now neglected estate passed into private ownership - and was then completely restored and renovated by the new owners with great passion. Today's park was laid out by hand on a daily basis between 1997 and 2003.

Today, the manor is shining again and is in very good condition.
