Introduction

The performances on the open-air theatre surrounded by forest in Billerbeck have been delighting young and old for years.

The Billerbeck open-air stage with its large natural stage is wonderfully embedded in a deciduous forest on the outskirts of Billerbeck. The stage has been delighting visitors since 1950. In summer, the Billerbeck open-air stage offers one performance each for adults and families. In winter, guests are entertained with a studio play.

In summer, the open-air stage offers space for 800 guests on ascending visitor stands.

The open-air theatre is located directly on the Münsterland cycle path network with over 4,500 km of signposted cycle paths. The hilly landscape of the Baumberge is a paradise for cyclists. The old town centre of Nottuln, the Baumberg Sandstone Museum in Havixbeck or Coesfeld and the Glass Museum in Coesfeld-Lette are easy to reach by bike.

Journey
By car via the A 43 motorway (Recklinghausen-Münster) to the Nottuln exit. Follow the main road B 525 in the direction of Nottuln. Follow the signs towards Billerbeck. Follow the signs towards the centre and then the signs towards the open-air theatre.
The Billerbeck bus station is approx. 500 metres away. The Freilichtbühnen bus stop is served by the B61 public bus.
Parking
Car parks are located near the Weihgarten open-air theatre. In the summer months, a car park service will show you the way to the nearest car park.
