Further Informations
Information for cyclists
Gescher is a hub for cyclists and is considered the gateway to the western Münsterland. Numerous cycle paths run through the almost flat landscape. Lovely neighbouring towns such as Südlohn, Stadtlohn or Legden are also waiting to be discovered. The Dutch border is not far away. A look across the border at the small town of Winterswijk is definitely worthwhile.
The following signposted themed cycle routes lead through Gescher and offer cyclists wonderful opportunities to get to know the region and its special features better:
Flamingo Route
Berkel route
The approx. 4500 km long Münsterland cycle route network is located directly at the Museumshof in front of the Heinrich Hörnemann House.
