The Prinzipalmarkt is the "parlour" of the city of Münster and is known for its magnificent gabled houses.

The Prinzipalmarkt is considered the "parlour" of the city of Münster. Surrounded by magnificent gabled houses and the historic town hall, the cobbled street bears witness to the lives of merchants and great world history. Its historical significance is documented in the Friedenssaal and the City Museum

The "arcades" characterise the Prinzipalmarkt. Here, locals and visitors stroll along numerous individual and exclusive shops.

Information for cyclists
The old town centre of Münster with the Prinzipalmarkt is surrounded by the so-called "Promenade". The Prinzipalmarkt is easy to reach from this cycle path, with the quickest connection being from Mauritztor.
The "Promenade" provides a connection to the Münsterland cycle path network and numerous supra-regional themed routes.

Arrival
By bus & train to Prinzipalmarkt:
The walk from the railway station to Prinzipalmarkt takes approx. 15 minutes. Leave the station in the direction of the city centre and follow the signs to Prinzipalmarkt.
Bus lines 12, 13, 14, 2, 10 and 11 run from the railway station to the "Klemensstraße" stop. From here it is approx. 150 metres to the Turmstube.
Bus routes 1 and 9 also run from the railway station in the direction of Prinzipalmarkt, bus stop "Prinzipalmarkt". The historic town hall on Prinzipalmarkt and the Turmstube are approx. 100 metres away.

By car to Prinzipalmarkt:
Coming from the south and north: leave the A1 motorway at the Münster/Nord motorway junction (77) and take the B54 towards Münster.
Coming from the east: Take the B51 motorway in the direction of Münster.
Coming from the west: Follow the A43 motorway in the direction of Münster, which automatically turns into Weseler Straße. In the city centre, you can use the signs for Parkhaus Münster Arkaden or Stubengasse. From here it is only a few minutes' walk to Prinzipalmarkt.
