Arrival
The Zwillbrocker Venn is located in the western Münsterland directly on the German-Dutch border. Zwillbrock is a district of Vreden about eleven kilometres from the city centre.
Getting there by car:
Vreden can be reached by car via the B70 trunk road. The B70 offers connections to the A31 motorway (Emden - Oberhausen) via the B54 in the north or the B525 in the south.
Leave the B70 via the ring road in Vreden and then follow the Zwillbrocker Straße L608 to the Zwillbrocker Venn.
Travelling by bus and train:
The nearest German railway station is in Ahaus (railway line Dortmund - Enschede), about 15 kilometres away. Continue by bus S70/S71 to Vreden. Bus line S70/S71 also offers connections to Münster (main station).
On the Dutch side, the nearest station is in Winterswijk. Continue with bus R71 to Vreden.
A direct bus connection from Vreden to Zwillbrock is not regularly available. Continuing by bicycle is a good alternative.
