The Parkfreibad Gronau attracts its visitors with many swimming facilities and large green areas. Those with sporting ambitions will find 50-metre lanes for exercising here; big and small visitors, for whom fun is paramount, will find what they are looking for with the wave-width slide, as well as a children's paddling pool with spray rhino and a playground. With a 1m and a 3m diving board and 33m lanes, the pool also offers a variety of attractions for visitors. The Badcafé provides guests with delicious culinary delights.

The Parkfreibad is open during the summer months from May to the end of August. The exact opening times depend on the weather and will be announced by the Stadtwerke Gronau.

Information for cyclists
Gronau is the gateway to our Dutch neighbours. Just three kilometres separate Gronau's city centre from the German-Dutch border. What could be better than a cycle tour to Enschede or one of the many small idyllic villages? But there are also wonderful landscapes and fascinating places to discover and experience in Münsterland.
Numerous themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very specific contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The Parkfreibad is also connected to a themed cycle route.
Flamingo Route
The entrance to the Münsterland cycle path network, which is approx. 4500 km long, is located on the Dinkel at the western edge of the city park. Here in Münsterland, everyone can find a suitable cycle route.

The evening ticket is available in the indoor pool Tue-Fri two hours before closing time, in the outdoor pools Mon-Fri from 6.00 pm.
The family ticket is valid for a maximum of 2 adults and 3 children.
The 14-day ticket is valid for 14 days from the date of purchase.
The 30-day ticket is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase.

Parking at the Parkfreibad
Free parking is available at the outdoor pool.
Arrival
The Parkfreibad is adjacent to the southern part of the Stadtpark on the southern edge of Gronau's city centre. The easiest way for guests to reach the Parkfreibad is by car, bicycle or on foot through the Stadtpark.
Arrival by car:
Gronau lies on the B54 trunk road.
Connection to the A31 (Oberhausen - Emden) and A1 (Dortmund - Bremen) motorways
The outdoor pool can be reached via Hermann-Ehlers-Straße and Eper Straße.
Arrival by train:
Arrival by train is via Gronau (Westf.) station.
Gronau is regularly served by trains from Enschede, Münster and Dortmund.
Walking distance from the station approx. 20 minutes, 1.5 kilometres
