Museum/Exhibition

The tractor museum is located on a traditional Westphalian farm between Westerkappeln and Lotte. It shows the development of tractors from towing machines to universal tractors.

The exhibits include around 30 tractors, including numerous vintage Güldner, Hanomag and Deutz vehicles from the 1950s. A number of implements and agricultural machinery are also part of the collection today. The collection can also be admired in all its splendour outside on special days and at classic car meetings.

Information for cyclists
In the very north-east of the region, in the Tecklenburger Land, a special landscape awaits cyclists. The foothills of the Teutoburg Forest south of Westerkappeln characterise the surroundings and invite you to marvel at the Münsterland from above. North of Westerkappeln the landscape becomes increasingly flat. Several nature reserves as well as moor and heathland landscapes are waiting to be discovered. The Tecklenburger Land offers a unique variety of landscapes and exciting cultural attractions. The peace city of Osnabrück is also quickly reached from Westerkappeln.
Various themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through the Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very special features of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The following themed cycle routes run alongside the Tractor Museum:
