Gronau is the gateway to our Dutch neighbours. Just three kilometres separate Gronau's city centre from the German-Dutch border. What could be better than a cycle tour to Enschede or one of the many small idyllic villages? But there are also wonderful landscapes and fascinating places to discover and experience in Münsterland.
Numerous themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very specific content of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The railway station in Gronau is also connected to a themed cycle route.
Flamingo Route
The entrance to the Münsterland cycle path network, which is approx. 4500 km long, is located on the Dinkel at the western edge of the city park. Here in Münsterland, everyone can find a suitable cycle route.
Gronau railway station has bicycle parking spaces. The perfect opportunity for a stroll through the city centre.

Gronau is located on the B54 trunk road.
Connection to the A31 (Oberhausen - Emden) and A1 (Dortmund - Bremen) motorways.
Follow signs in the direction of the railway station.
Arrival by train:
Arrival by train is via Gronau (Westf.) railway station.
Gronau is regularly served by trains from Enschede, Münster and Dortmund.
