Zoo/wildlife park nature experiences - various Park/gardens Amusement park

The game park in Dülmen invites walkers to relax and enjoy nature. The freely accessible 250-hectare park landscape can be explored on one large and four small circular paths on foot and by bike. Whether hiking, jogging, walking or cycling - guests can enjoy and discover the typical Münsterland landscape on natural paths. Visitors not only experience a picturesque and varied backdrop of forests, meadows and ponds, but also encounter native animals such as fallow deer, heathens and sheep.

History informationIn 1864, the then Dukes of Croy commissioned a well-known English architect to design a park that was to connect Dülmen Castle with the newly acquired Hinderkinck Farm. In the English style, magnificent and discreet at the same time, an appealing landscape park was created with arranged groups of trees embedded in woodland and meadow areas. Striking individual trees enriched the park, which thus also became attractive for red and fallow deer in the 1920s. The Croy ducal family still owns the land today and makes these grounds freely accessible to visitors.
