Information for cyclists
Telgte is ideally suited as a starting point or excursion destination for cycling tours in the Münsterland region. Telgte itself, with its historic old town and extensive cultural programme, offers ideal conditions for an interesting cycling break.
Along the Ems on cycle paths through the beautiful Ems meadows, cyclists can reach the towns of Warendorf or Münster from Telgte. Further possibilities are offered by the over 4500 kilometre long network of cycle paths.
Themed cycle paths also run through Telgte and bring cyclists closer to the history and special features of the Münsterland region in a unique way. The following themed cycle routes run close to the pilgrimage chapel:

Arrival
Travelling by car:
Telgte can be reached by car via the A1 (Cologne - Bremen) or the A43 (Wuppertal - Münster). From Münster it is about twelve kilometres on the B51 towards Telgte.
Continue via Münstertor (keep straight on) and after about 500 metres turn into Mönkediek. After about 250 metres, turn left onto Bahnhofstraße.
Follow Bahnhofstraße to the pilgrimage chapel.
Travelling by bus and train:
Telgte is on the Münster - Rheda-Wiedenbrück railway line. From the railway station in Telgte it is about a five-minute walk to the pilgrimage chapel.
Lines R11 and R13 run from Münster main station to Telgte town centre. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
