Information for cyclists
Cycle paths, cycle lanes, cycle tracks - in Rheine the possibilities for cyclists seem almost unlimited. The cycle paths along the Ems, along the Dortmund-Ems Canal or to Steinfurt are free of gradients. Significantly more metres in altitude have to be overcome on the way to Ibbenbüren.
The cycle routes lead along the Ems directly into the city centre of Rheine and are also easily accessible from the market square. The following themed routes run through Rheine:
100 Castles Route, North Course
EmsRadweg
The entrance to the cycle path network is at the Emsterrassen in the town centre, about 150 metres from the market square. Everyone can find their next cycling tour on the Münsterland cycle path network, which is about 4500 kilometres long.
