Tourist information

Tourist-Info

Centrally located in the town centre, the Rhede Tourist Information Office offers comprehensive information on events, sights and travel and accommodation offers. Maps and up-to-date tips are also available, as are regional products in the adjoining "RHEDENSwert" area. Here you will find culinary specialities and gift ideas from the region.

History

In the heart of Rhede, the building of today's Rhedenswert is a reminder of an eventful past. Once used as a post office, travellers stopped here on the stagecoach. The building later became the "Zur Alten Post" restaurant and developed into a convivial meeting place. Today, Rhedenswert combines a historic atmosphere with contemporary use - as a cultural venue for dialogue, events and regional identity.
