Nature discovery trail Westerkappeln
The Schachselwiesen route has been developed into an exciting geocaching game especially for children. Four hiding places (caches) can be discovered with the help of a treasure map. Each hiding place contains a box with a number. Once all four numbers have been found, the solution code can be redeemed at the tourist information office for a small reward from a treasure box.
If you want to switch to a bicycle, you can discover secrets and stories of the Tecklenburger Land on the Sagenroute aller Hand.
Information for cyclists
The Westerkappeln tourist information centre is located directly on the signposted Münsterland cycle path network. Junction 60 is located in the immediate vicinity. This is also the start of the NaTourismus route and the Sagenroute.
The many nature reserves and the romantic old town of Tecklenburg are great destinations for a cycle tour. If you want to get a taste of the city air, you can easily cycle as far as Osnabrück.

Arrival
By car:
Take the A1 to exit 71 Autohof in the direction of Osnabrück-Hafen/Westerkappeln/Lotte.
Take the Eversburger Straße in a westerly direction until you reach the city centre.
By public transport:
Take the long-distance train or the RB66 to Osnabrück Hauptbahnhof (main station).
Continue with S10 to Westerkappeln cemetery
The destination is only 300 metres away on foot
Parking
The Cappeln Carré car park is 500 metres from the Tourist Info.
It can be reached via Heerstraße and Mettinger Straße.
