Park/gardens

Surrounded by the Münsterland park landscape and the Stever River, the moated castle of Senden with its impressive three-tiered gable is a popular destination for explorers of the region and lovers of castles. The castle park offers beautiful paths for walks and bicycle tours around the castle, along the Stever, the Mühlenbach and the canal, as well as past the Marien Chapel at the castle.

The building is far more than a magnificent castle with a 1000-year history: it is a very special cultural and educational venue with historical charm. Progressively renovated, the non-profit association Schloss Senden e.V. owns and operates this imposing 15th century complex. Concerts, weddings, conferences, themed tours and other seasonal events are regularly held here.
