Trödelsteine with summit cross

Mountain peak Nature reserve/natural monument

In the summit region of Trödelsteine Mountain you can find the Trödelsteine cliff formation, which is designated as an areal natural monument (flächenhaftes Naturdenkmal - FND) and is approximately 0.3 hectares in size, consisting of several basalt cliffs and an underlying column and boulder field of feldspar basalt.

The E1 European long-distance path, which crosses the road axis at the border, runs over the mountain and a narrow path runs over the Trödelsteine, which is part of the 10.2 km long Rothaarsteigspur Trödelsteinpfad (Rothaarstieg Trail Trödelstein Path). The Hellerhöhenweg (Hellerhöhen Trail) (H) also runs across the mountain and the Siegerland-Höhenring (Siegland Heights Ring).
