The late-medieval Konradsheim moated castle is located in the Erftstadt district of the same name and can be hired for events.
Konradsheim moated castle is located just one kilometre from Lechenich castle, directly on the L162. It is considered an example of a late medieval castle complex. The castle, which was first mentioned in a document in 1337, was destroyed over the centuries, which meant that initially only remnants of the former fortification remained. However, the residential building is little changed and after the Second World War it was restored as it had been built in 1548 by Wilhelm von Haes.
In 1938, the provincial administration, whose successor is the Landschaftsverband, acquired Konradsheim Castle from the von Loe family. The north-eastern side wing of the gatehouse with a Gothic oriel was rebuilt in the 1960s. It served as the official residence of the regional conservator Wesenberg. The interiors of the castle, which were in a desolate state, were extensively restored. In 1976, the castle was sold to the Neisse family.
Today, the castle can be rented for various events such as weddings, workshops and conferences. The Erftstadt registry office conducts civil weddings at the castle.
The 18-hole golf course Golf BurgKonradsheim and a restaurant are located right next to the castle.
