The Fritzdorf mill was built in 1842 by Julius Robrecht, a journeyman miller from Westphalia.
The mill type is a Dutch mill with a rotating bonnet and two grinding gears. The facility was supplemented by a residential building with a barn, stables, oven and well. In addition to producing flour, the mill was also used to extract oil from rapeseed. The mill was shut down at the end of the 19th century as the competition from the more efficient water mills on the Ahr became too great.
The outbuildings were demolished in 1909.
The surviving tower was restored in 1978 and can be rented from the municipality of Wachtberg for private celebrations.
