    The former Villa Merkens has a long and chequered history. Today, the property once again bears its former name "Haus im Turm".

    The classicist manor house is surrounded by a large park. The grounds are now home to a winery with local wine sales and a restaurant with a wonderful terrace, which is very popular for weddings in summer. The surrounding park and the house itself are used for exhibitions by KAT_A, a forum for international contemporary art founded by the collector Andra Lauffs-Wegner in 2014.
