Weingut Broel
Winery/wine cellar

The historic Broel winery is the only remaining winery in Bad Honnef.
The Broel family had owned a winery in Rhöndorf since the middle of the 19th century, and in 1905 it was moved to its current location on "Karl-Broel-Straße", named after him
The residential building from 1904 and the winery from 1905 have been listed as historical monuments since
11 November 1982.

The winery's wine cellar is the largest in the Siebengebirge. It also includes a cellar, a wine press hall, an office and a barrel cooper's workshop. A total of 2.5 hectares are cultivated in the Rhöndorf single vineyard Drachenfels.
After 1945, the winery was often a meeting place for high-ranking politicians, Konrad Adenauer lived just a stone's throw away, also in Rhöndorf.
Today, mainly white wines are cultivated, the Riesling from a clay slate site is particularly well known, of which only about 2500 bottles are produced annually.
