Wuppertal doesn’t have a castle, does it? Oh yes, it does! The knight’s seat and former moated castle in Lüntenbeck indicate otherwise. Located in the far west of the city, Schloss Lüntenbeck is today not only a popular wedding venue outside the Wuppertal registry office, but also a stylish venue for private parties and fabulous markets. Fixed dates in the year include the Stilblüte market for quirky garden culture, Sieben Sachen, the market for designer items and unusual pieces, DIY and upcycling, and as a crowning finale to the year, the delightful Christmas market.

But Schloss Lüntenbeck is worth visiting even outside these events. The surrounding area is ideal for walking and hiking and a small discovery tour around the castle offers insights into the world back then. The small “Die Lünte” restaurant is a great place to enjoy a relaxing stop.
