Direction
Arrival
Emsdetten is a small town about 30 kilometres north of Münster. The Emsauen nature reserve lies north-east of the town centre on the outskirts of Emsdetten.
Arrival by car:
Emsdetten is excellently connected to the road network via several federal highways. We recommend taking the A1 motorway (Cologne-Münster-Bremen) via the Greven exit (from the south) and continuing on the B 481 or via the Ladbergen exit (from the north) and continuing on the B 475.
From the direction of Emsland and the Netherlands, we recommend taking the A 30 motorway (Amsterdam-Osnabrück) to the Rheine-Nord exit. Continue via the B 70 in the direction of Rheine and then via the B 481 in the direction of Emsdetten.
Arrival by train:
Emsdetten has its own railway station in the immediate vicinity of the city centre and is served by various regional trains. There are direct connections to Münster, Rheine, Krefeld, Cologne, Wuppertal, Lingen and Emden, for example.
The train station is about two kilometres away and can be reached on foot. There is only a bus connection from the station to the Emsauen via a taxi bus.
