Schlumps Back in Rahden: rest area for cyclists
Schlumps Back in Rahden is a magically located rest area that appeals to cyclists, walkers and families alike. The idyllically situated bakehouse with the neighboring Bokemühle mill was transformed into an outdoor meeting place in 2018 with a lot of voluntary commitment from the Heimatfreunde Kleinendorf. In May, the Heimatfreunde started renovating the Bokemühle mill and Schlumps Backs. The door and gate of the Bokemühle were given a coat of paint, the frames of the bakehouse were cleaned and sealed and the half-timbering was given a new coat of paint.
In collaboration with the "Lebenstraum" planning workshop, ideas and suggestions for a new usage concept were developed. The result is a focal point for cyclists, walkers, families and nature lovers. Among other things, an adventure trail, a natural stage, tepees, a rustic shelter and numerous seating areas have been created.
A worthwhile excursion destination in the middle of nature and yet conveniently located near the B239.
