Information for cyclists
Gescher is a hub for cyclists. Numerous cycle paths meet here. The Flamingo Route as well as the river cycle paths along the Berkel, Aa and Slinge run through the urban area of the municipality in the western Münsterland. On these routes, cyclists experience particularly beautiful nature. Perhaps they will even discover flamingos in the Zwillbrocker Venn in summer.
Gescher is considered the gateway to the western Münsterland. Numerous cycle paths run through the almost flat landscape. Lovely neighbouring towns such as Südlohn, Stadtlohn or Legden are also waiting to be discovered. The Dutch border is not far away. It is definitely worth taking a look across the border at the small town of Winterswijk.

A3 Oberhausen-Arnheim, exit Borken/Bocholt in the direction of Borken and continue on the B67 as far as Borken, continue on the A31 in the direction of Emden as far as the exit Gescher/Coesfeld in the direction of Gescher
Parking
There are several parking options for visitors around the Berkelaue nature area. A larger car park is located at the Gescher open-air swimming pool.
