Information for cyclists
The Fürstenkuhle is located in the Hochmoor district south of the town of Gescher. In addition to Gescher, Coesfeld, Velen and Reken are also accessible by bike, four typical Münsterland towns and villages. Several beautiful nature reserves can also be easily experienced by bike, for example the nearby Kuhlenvenn.
Numerous themed cycle routes offer interesting cycling tours through Münsterland. The signposted themed cycle routes each show very specific contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The Fürstenkuhle is also connected to a themed cycle route.
Flamingo Route
The entrance to the Münsterland cycle route network, which is around 4,500 kilometres long, is directly at the Vennetütenweg. Everyone can find a suitable cycle route here.

The Fürstenkuhle is located south of the town of Gescher, near the village of Hochmoor. The nature reserve can only be explored on foot.
Getting there by bus & train:
Coesfeld railway station, continue by public transport
From Coesfeld railway station with the R61 line
From Vreden, Stadtlohn and Gescher with line R61 to Hochmoor
Stop "Gescher-Hochmoor, Sparkasse" (savings bank)
Walking distance to the nature reserve: 10 minutes, 900 metres
Arrival by car:
A31 Oberhausen-Emden, exit Gescher/Coesfeld - continue in the direction of Gescher and take the L608 towards Hochmoor.
A43 Recklinghausen-Münster, exit Dülmen/Coesfeld in the direction of Coesfeld and initially continue on the B474 - then after two kilometres follow the L600 in the direction of Borken. After about 15 kilometres, exit and follow the L608 towards Gescher-Hochmoor.
