The field chapel dedicated to St. Nicholas of Flüe - known as Brother Klaus - is a privately funded and built chapel, a place of silence, meditation, and prayer. Everyone who visits with this intention is warmly welcomed. May many people find a way to God at this place! The chapel is modeled after the hermitage of Brother Klaus and is therefore not suitable for large groups of visitors. We kindly ask pilgrimage groups of more than ten people to register in advance. The field chapel is not intended as a destination solely for those interested in architecture. The field chapel can only be reached on foot in 10 to 15 minutes via an gently ascending path. Parking for cars is available only at the designated parking lot on the outskirts of Wachendorf towards Lessenich.
