The Kyll - a true paradise for fly fishing!
The Kyll originates from the confluence of several springs near the Belgian border in the High Eifel. It is dammed in the area described here to create the Kronenburg Lake, continues flowing to Gerolstein, and then bends southward towards the Moselle. Our fishing area is rich in facets and offers various difficulty levels, ranging from pure meadow streams to densely vegetated rivers. In some sections, there is ample space for casting, while in other places, the Kyll fly fisher is fully challenged, as overhanging branches or overgrown banks shield the fish. With the appropriate rod, however, one can manage well here. Information is provided by the local expert.

Fish species: Grayling, brook trout, chub, pike, coarse fish

Season for guest anglers: March 16 to October 14
Stretch: The fishing area encompasses a river length of 15 km between Kronenburg, Stadtkyll, and Jünkerath, divided into two marked lots with signs.
