In the future, Eifel paintings by various artists will be exhibited in the museum, and different temporary exhibitions invite visitors. The accompanying Gildehaus focuses on the history of Blankenheim and its Roman villa.
In the Gildehaus, a half-timbered building of the Blankenheim clothmaker's guild, there is the exhibition on the territorial history of Blankenheim titled “Castle and Rule - 900 Years of Blankenheim 1115 - 2015” and the art exhibition of the famous Eifel painter Fritz von Wille. Additionally, the Gildehaus houses the information center “VIA Erlebnisraum Römerstraße \ Agrippastraße - Via Belgica”. The central theme of the information center is rural life in Roman times as well as the history of the Roman villa in Blankenheim.
From the Gildehaus, take a walk to the Roman villa, which is 800 meters away and has been made accessible to the public through a modern architectural design. Or explore the beautiful hiking and biking trails around Blankenheim.
Admission to the Eifel Museum and the Gildehaus is free on all opening days.
