Wonderful view of the Eifel National Park.
The viewpoint “Eifel-Blick” at Rurberg youth hostel, is located at an altitude of 470m. The view extends over the Rursee to the Eifel National Park. The entire visible forest area on the horizon belongs to the Eifel National Park, the only one of its kind in North Rhine-Westphalia. On the left the view extends over the Kermeter. Further to the right is the Dreiborn plateau and a wonderful distant view of the Vogelsang IP area. The high tower of the complex, which towers into the sky, is clearly visible in the distance. A great resting place to stop and enjoy the view.
The on-site panorama board helps with orientation and provides useful information about the visible landscape.
The “Eifel-Blick” is located directly on the L166 road between Simmerath-Kesternich and Simmerath-Rurberg. The parking lot is clearly visible and is located above the Rurberg Youth Hostel, so that it is easy to come by car.
