The Rieselfelder are divided into two areas. In the north is the actual nature reserve, which is only accessible to a limited extent. In the south there is a nature experience area that is freely accessible. Here there are several circular walks, an observation tower and great observation points with views of the beautiful nature. The picnic area is located at one of the observation points. This is freely accessible all year round.

Information for cyclists
The Rieselfelder in Münster is a popular destination for cyclists. Nearby, the Ems and Werse rivers meander through the flat landscape.
Numerous themed cycle paths also run close to the Rieselfelder. The signposted routes each show very specific contents of the region and thus tell exciting stories about Münsterland. The following themed cycle routes run alongside the Rieselfelder:

A large car park is available for visitors at the Rieselfelder.

From the car park it is about 100 metres on foot to the picnic area.

Arrival
The Rieselfelder are located between Münster and Greven near the Dortmund-Ems Canal.
How to get there by car:
Coming from the south: Take the A1 motorway, exit Münster Nord, direction Münster. Then follow the signs to Münster-Kinderhaus. Continue on the B219 towards Greven and follow the signs to the central landfill. Follow the road "Coermühle" past the restaurant "Heidekrug". After about two kilometres you will reach the Biological Station at the Rieselfeldern.
Coming from the north: Take the A1 motorway, exit at Greven towards Münster and follow the B481 towards Gelmer. After approx. 10 km, take the Schiffahrter Damm in the direction of Gelmer and drive through the town of Gelmer. Then cross the Dortmund-Ems Canal and follow the road "Coermühle" to the Biological Station.
