Tourist attractions – various Historic site Fortress/Castle

The castle is privately owned and not open to visitors.

At Kühlseggen Castle, one of the most impressive water castles in the region, it is a water castle converted into a private residence with a large forecourt, whose origins date back to the 15th/16th century. Until 1962, the water castle was uninhabited, and its buildings were increasingly falling into disrepair. Then, these were extensively renovated and rebuilt to be used as a private residence. Well into the 19th century, the buildings of the castle complex stood on two islands: one raised high with the manor house and a second island where the forecourt was located. An exterior visit is possible outside the water moat on a circular path. The castle itself is privately owned and not open to visitors.
