In 1358, the castle was mentioned for the first time, along with its outer bailey and fortifications, making it dual-part and a knight's seat. The main castle was converted into a two-towered Baroque structure in 1776. The large castle park is directly adjacent to the village square and the church. An intricate manor house, built in the 18th century, lies on the main access road. Today, there is an excellent inn, bistro, and hotel with 5 rooms located there.
