Historic town centre Venue Services – various Cultural centre

Listed former district court from 1913.

Built in 1913 in the Weser Renaissance style, the "Old District Court" is probably Petershagen's most representative building from the 20th century and one of the few completely preserved small Prussian district courts in Westphalia. Renovated in 2002, the historic aldermen's hall impresses with its ornate stained glass windows and the high-quality wooden architecture of its furnishings and, with its beautiful ambience, is particularly popular today as a wedding room. The court itself was housed here until 1984 and was then incorporated into Minden; today the building is home to a restaurant and cultural center.

In addition to the courthouse, the complex includes the judge's residence and the old prison. Today, you can book original overnight stays here and take a "rest in prison" in the prison cells
