Nürburg castle is famous not only for the nearby legendary racetrack.

The castle ruin is a remnant of a castle complex, the oldest part of which originates in the 12th century. The castle keep was built in 1818 and more restoration and building works followed, which means that you still get a good impression of what the former complex looked like today.
