Climb the 11m high "Dronketurm" on the Mäuseberg near the "Weinfeld Maar" and enjoy an incredible panoramic view over the GesundLand Vulkaneifel around Daun.

When you visit the Weinfelder Maar, you should also climb up to the nearby Mäuseberg. Because in the middle of it towers the Dronketurm, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century. If you climb the 43 steps of the eleven-meter-high tower, you will be rewarded: At the top, a wonderful view awaits you of the Gemünden Maar, which slumbers far below surrounded by beech forest in the valley, and of the impressive landscape of the volcanic land around the three Daun Maars.

The tower has now stood on the plateau on the 561-metre-high Mäuseberg for more than 120 years. The "Eifel lookout tower" was built as a memorial to Dr. Adolf Dronke, the founder of the Eifelverein. Today, several hiking trails lead directly past the Dronke Tower. Stop and enjoy the wonderful panoramic view.
