In the Brückenmühle, a former water mill, you could buy traditional baked goods in the in-house bakery until a few years ago. Today, the Eifelsteig adventure loop Mühlenroute leads directly along the former mill building.
Today you can still see the mill pond, a canal that was created for the operation of the water mill. The canal branches off water from the natural course of the Lieser above the mill and feeds a part of it as impact water to the mill. The feeding part of the mill ditch is called the Obergraben. The natural river bed is preserved and serves as a bypass. Below the mill, the channel rejoins the Lieser. This part of the Mühlengraben is called Untergraben. The outlet from a main watercourse, the Abschlag, is regulated by a weir, also called Wehrgraben, here Bürgerwehr.
