The Baldiunshütte on the outskirts of Manderscheid offers an indescribable view of the Manderscheid castles.
The Balduinshütte is a much-visited hut on the Lieserpfad and Eifelsteig, located right on the outskirts of Manderscheid. From here you have a fantastic view of the castles lying in the Lieser Valley.
The open-plan hut was built by the former "Verschönerungsverein" and rebuilt in 1995 according to the old model. In the past, even spa concerts were held here. Today, it is a wonderful place for a rest during a hike around Manderscheid.
It was named after Archbishop and Elector Balduin of Trier, who granted Manderscheid town rights in 1327.
