Nature reserve/natural monument Fountain Services – various Tourist attractions – various Waters

Outside the village of Dockweiler, to the south-east in the forest area, you will find the Dockweiler "Drees". The iron-rich mineral water bubbles out near the "Hasbach".

Hikers on the "Quellenlweg" usually rest at Dockweiler "Drees". Here, about 2 litres of healing and tasty mineral water from Lower Devonian rock layers flow from the spring.
The sodium-alkaline-hydrogen carbonate "Säuerling" (acidulous water) from the forest area along the Erft-Lieser-Mosel hiking trail leaves rust-red deposits on the brick surround of the Dockweiler "Drees". The water bubbles out of the walled spring at a temperature of approx. 8° C.

Take a rest at this idyllic spot by the "Alter Bach" (old brook). A hut in the immediate vicinity offers additional shelter.

The brochure "Dreese - Mineralwasser- und Kohlensäurequellen der Vulkaneifel ", available at our GesundLand tourist information offices and at the Vulkaneifel Nature and UNESCO Global Geopark will show you the way - here
