The forest camp is located in the idyllic Wirfttal in Stadtkyll and is especially popular with youth and family groups.
The Forest Youth Camp Wirfttal in Stadtkyll is predominantly visited by youth and family groups year-round. The camp offers a total of 128 sleeping places spread across 16 log cabins (2 cabins with private shower/WC). All forest cabins are equipped with 4 bunk beds, chairs, and a table and are heated. Three differently sized seminar rooms are available for seminars and conference groups. Additionally, groups have access to a spacious community house with a lounge, sanitary facilities, and washrooms, as well as a communal house with 3 large kitchens. The facility also includes 3 barbecue spots, a soccer field, a table tennis table, and parking spaces. Within a few minutes' walk from the Forest Youth Camp, you can reach the local holiday park with a water playground and pedal boat rental at the reservoir, a mini golf course, a disc golf area, a large playground, and the holiday park restaurant.
Single occupancy is possible from 112 persons. All groups are responsible for their own catering, and the final cleaning must also be done by themselves.
Minimum occupancy fee: 200 €
For accommodation, a fee of 60.00 € per cabin/night is charged (May-October) or 50.00 € (November-April) (Heating, electricity, and water are included).
Guest contribution:
1.50 € per person/night
The following are exempt from paying the guest contribution:
- Children up to the age of 6 (0 - 5 years)
- Persons staying for professional reasons (e.g., workers, business travelers, and conference participants)
- Persons who stay in the assessment area for educational purposes (this also includes school trips during school time)
- Discount for children and youths up to the age of 18, who are participating in a non-profit recreational trip. A presentation of the certificate of non-profit status is required. (Guest contribution only 0.75 €/person/night).
The payable guest contribution will be collected in cash after the total number of persons has been recorded or will be billed after the stay and forwarded to the VG Gerolstein.
