In the Westeifel-Moseltal region, hikers will find the "Strotzbüscher Quelle", a warm mineral water spring. The water temperature of this warm spring located in the Ueßbach valley is almost 20°C.
The Strotzbüscher Spring in the Ueßbach Valley is one of the warm mineral water springs. Not far from Strotzbüch, located in the Westeifel-Moseltal region, hikers can find the warm spring with a temperature of almost 20°C, as a source in the southern area of the Vulkaneifel.
As early as 1938, the spring was collected 3 - 4 m below the water level of the Ueßbach with a steel bell, and the mineral water was transported to the surface via a rising pipe. Later, it was decided to re-capture the effervescent spring at a depth of 6.20 m through drilling. The sodium bicarbonate-chloride spring is characterized by a water temperature of almost 20°C and is more highly mineralized with 4030 mg of dissolved minerals per liter than the healing water of the Bad Bertrich thermal spring.
The overflow of the spring basin is fed into the flowing Ueßbach. If you want to find the spring and taste it, you should be in good shape, as a kind of "climbing path" leads there. The descent is worth it!
enough to meet today's drinking water requirements.
Hike along the Maarepfad, the Strotzbücher Spring is worth a detour.
