A canoe trip on the "Sauer" is a great way to escape the stress of everyday life.

The campsite "Altschmiede" rents out three-person canoes as well as one- and two-person kayaks for three- to four-hour trips. The stretch from Bollendorf to Minden, where the "Prüm" flows into the "Sauer", is around 16 kilometres long and very scenic. As there are only a few gentle rapids, it is also suitable for families with children. A tour takes about 3-4 hours.
