The Bad Bertrich healing spring is Germany's only Glauber salt thermal spring with a "naturally warm" temperature of 32° C. The healing spring was already recognised and secured by the Romans around 2,000 years ago.
The Bad Bertrich mountain spring is a healing water. The mineral water rises from a volcanic fault at a depth of over 2,300 meters to the surface.
The overall mineralization and the natural exit temperature make the Bad Bertrich healing water the "only Glauber's salt thermal spring in Germany, 32°C naturally warm." Already around 2,000 years ago, the mountain spring was recognized by the Romans and secured and capped with great expertise.
Its healing effect has made it an acknowledged healing water. Drinking and bathing cures are offered in Bad Bertrich with great success.
The overall mineralization is 2,479 mg/l. It is a sodium bicarbonate sulfate thermal spring, also called Glauber's salt thermal spring.
The 32°C naturally warm healing water can be taken from the drinking fountain in the Kursaal building and at the Löwenkopf fountain in the spa garden. It is recommended in limited amounts before meals. The two drinking fountains are open daily.
