    In the 19th century, three forts were preserved after the demolition of the Minden railroad station fortifications: Fort A, Fort B and Fort C.



    The eastern flank of the station fortification is secured by Fort B and serves as the focal point of the rampart fortification. Fort B was modified by the addition of another storey.
