    Municipal archive - former district hall

    The district hall was built in 1906-08 in neo-baroque style according to plans by master of government Paul Kanold.

    In the immediate vicinity of the new government, the building was part of a new urban centre in the Weserglacis area. A new building on Portastrasse was completed in 1975 for the constantly expanding government office.

    Since 1985, the Minden-Lübbecke municipal archive has been using the building, which has largely retained its furnishings from the time it was built.
