Museum/Exhibition

This bunker is a memorial and museum at the same time, where many things can be touched interactively and the situations for the civilian population in the Second World War during the bombing raids can be recreated. It contains one of the largest exhibitions on German civilian gas and air protection during the Second World War. This luxury bunker has been faithfully reconstructed and furnished, making it unique in Germany.

Immerse yourself in one of the largest exhibitions on German civil air raid protection during the Second World War and explore the abandoned corridors of this 1940 bunker! Discover the originally furnished luxury bunker, reconstructed down to the last detail, as it only exists once again in Germany. The interactive exhibition lets visitors retrace the lives of those seeking shelter, and hands-on exhibits bring the story to life. In addition, original film footage of the bombing raids on Hagen or of air raid shelters of that time offer unseen insights into the darkest chapter of our history. A unique experience: the simulation of air raid alarms as they were during the attacks in the Second World War.
