The Museum of Art and Cultural History, or MKK for short, offers cultural history in fast motion: from prehistory and early history to antiquity and modern design.

A gold treasure of late Roman coins, the Renaissance cabinet of rarities or works by famous artists of the 18th and 19th centuries - visitors to the MKK can discover a wide variety of exhibits. At the same time, the Museum of Art and Cultural History is also Dortmund's museum of local history. Thus, in the section of the Dortmund triad "Steel, Coal, Beer", the city's history comes to life. Admission to the permanent exhibition is free, but there is a charge for visiting the changing special exhibitions.
