The Wittlich "Säubrennerbrunnen"

The Wittlich "Säubrennerbrunnen"
Fountain The city council decided in November 1965 to install a fountain on the square on Trierer Straße (today: Pariser Platz). The designs of the couple dell'Antonio were approved and just in time for the Säubrenner fair on August 12, 1967, it was erected under the observation of numerous Wittlich onlookers. The highlight of the fountain was that lighting was built into the bowl of the basin. The Säubrenner children were executed in modified form in different materials and variants by the couple dell'Antonio. In general, children as a motif can be found repeatedly in their oeuvre, as illustrated by the exhibited bronzes.
In 1988 a second "Säubrennerbrunnen" was created, which found its place next to the Kreissparkasse in the pedestrian zone.
